El Dorado County planners are starting the environmental evaluation process for the county’s first Costco Wholesale.

Costco offers a diverse assortment of items as well as the convenience of specialist departments and exclusive member services, all geared to make your shopping experience more enjoyable.
According to plans filed with the county, this Costco would be a roughly 151,000-square-foot store with over 700 parking spaces. Some of the spots would be in an underground parking garage. A gas station is also part of the plan.
The Costco would be located on the west side of Silva Valley Parkway, just north of Highway 50.
Costco believes that the El Dorado Hills location would decrease the impact of its existing Folsom store and better serve El Dorado County residents and attract customers from the new Folsom Ranch development, which is just off of White Rock Road.
